The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students.
In 1961 a small group of starry-eyed Monash graduate research students started up an organisation to shine a light on the specific needs of graduate students.
More than sixty years on, the Monash Graduate Association (MGA) continues to effectively represent, inspire and support the Monash University graduate community.
So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you.
Our services are continually adapted to the needs of the graduate community. Simply put, we’re experts on all things graduate because we listen to your feedback.
The MGA is committed to reducing carbon emissions and actively working to protect the environment. In 2022, the MGA was proud to be certified carbon neutral by Climate Active. We are the first student association in Australia to achieve this. Find out more about MGA Sustainability here.
