Fortnightly get-together over lunch with speakers giving talks and taking questions on topics that specifically target the needs of AMREP postgrads. Snacks provided by the MPA.

Counselling Service at AMREP
To support postgraduates at the AMREP Centre, the MPA has made arrangements with the University to have a counsellor on site once a week. This counselling service is provided by the University Counselling and Mental Health Programs.
From the July 26, 2017, Anthony Lester will be at AMREP Centre every Wednesday morning to provide free and confidential counselling to members of the Monash University community here. Anthony is a psychologist who has more than fifteen years of experience working in the tertiary education sector and more than ten at Monash University as a psychologist.

Monash Postgraduate Association (MPA)
The Monash Postgraduate Association (MPA) represents and serves the interests and welfare of postgraduates enrolled on all Victorian campuses by providing activities and services to cater to their specific needs.
The MPA provides a range of services including advice and advocacy, seminars and workshops, social events and representation. Enrolled postgraduates are automatically entitled to use the resources and services of the MPA.
The MPA holds a forum at AMREP each semester to give postgraduates at the Alfred the opportunity to discuss their student experience and highlight any issues they may have.

The Learning Support unit offers an online guide for higher degree by research postgraduates.
