Portfolio

The portfolio of ‘Offcampus and Distance Education Officer’ is brand new to MPA beginning in late 2018. Through my work with faculty level student groups I have seen how important it is for offcampus and distance students to not only be heard, but remembered in university operations and to have their specific needs advocated for. I want offcampus and distance education students to know that MPA is cheering you on and that though university life may be different for you, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out.

Background

I commenced a Juris Doctor at the Monash Law Chambers in January 2019. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at Deakin University in 2014 and Honours at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in 2015. I spent time travelling through Europe learning from others through inclusion and adventure. This solidified my passion to study postgraduate law.

During my undergraduate degree, I became interested in mental health and support services. Especially in postgraduate studies, self-care can lose priority. I love exploring ways to incorporate long-term mental health support strategies into everyday routines.

The MPA has interested me with their strong postgraduate student support network. I would like to raise awareness for our off-campus students and find a way to increase collaborative services and off-campus engagement.

This is my first term in the MPA Executive Committee, and I am excited to learn and make a positive impact for the Monash Postgraduate community.

Personal Interests

I love travelling and immersing myself in different cultures. I also enjoy playing volleyball and netball.
