My name is Suhag and I am your new International Students’ Officer. I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Information Systems at Monash.
I previously graduated from University having majored in computer science. I have been working on deep learning with my main focus being cancer diagnosis using pathology scans. I go by this saying in the AI community, “This world is full of opportunities. Give me the problem, I’ll provide the mathematical modeling”, and we’ll have (productive) fun along the way.
Although it has been a challenging year for everyone, I think some of the positives from this year have been my involvement in the various online initiatives of the MGA which helped me get through this year. Now, I think it is my turn to take up the initiative to do my part in this circle of life to help my fellow students.
By being the International Students’ officer, I would also benefit immensely by making new friends and learning new ideas and viewpoints from them. It will indeed be a challenging task but an exciting one where I get to be the voice of the International Students.
I am an avid traveler. I love to explore new cities. I also enjoy playing team sports such as football, cricket, and volleyball.
