Background

I was born in Mumbai, India and raised in Muscat, Oman. I completed my entire schooling in Oman and then came to India to complete my bachelor’s in Pune, India. I completed my bachelor’s in Mechanical in June’18 and came to Melbourne in July’18 to pursue my Masters.

I started involving myself in various extra-curricular activities in my first semester itself. Volunteering at MPA enabled me to meet new people, grow my network and helped me develop my soft skills. During my undergrad, I didn’t receive many opportunities to get involved in extra curricular activities and thus wanted to make most of it when life had presented a second opportunity to be a student.

Presently, I’m in final year pursuing my Master of advanced engineering with a specialisation in renewable and sustainable energy engineering. While I have comprehensive Mechanical background, my emphasis is on adapting clean energy technologies and make a real impact on energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Being an International student, I along with my friends noticed a couple of issues and thus I decided to take up the opportunity to represent the International community and get our voices heard at Monash University.

As your Int’l Student Officer, I plan to use all the efforts and skills to address the concerns of the incoming and the present post graduates and get your issues resolved. I also plan to organize events  to enhance your experience at Monash university. I hope to endure the great efforts of the previous Int’l Student Officer and ensure the safety and wellbeing of International students.

Personal Interests

I love to meet new people, make new friends and play sports. I play badminton and table tennis and have represented my college in both the sports respectively. In addition to that, I love to travel and explore new places. I also enjoy watching Netflix and spending quality time with my friends.
